ASTM A240 316L Annealed stainless steel Plate

If you are looking for high-strength stainless steel plates that can withstand chemical acid and alkali and marine high-salt spray environments, GNEE's ASTM A240 316L hot-rolled plates are the best choice: containing 2-3% molybdenum, carbon ≤0.03%, outstanding resistance to pitting and intergranular corrosion, thickness 3.0-25mm, width 1219-2438mm, support on-demand cutting, with EN 10204 3.1 certification, meeting the corrosion resistance and strength requirements of harsh scenarios such as reactors and marine components.
Product Description
ASTM A240 316L hot-rolled steel plates supplied by GNEE meet American standards. Low carbon (<0.03%) improves weldability and reduces the risk of intergranular corrosion after welding. After processing at above 1100°C, they have high toughness, smooth grains and are economical to produce in large sizes. They contain 2-3% molybdenum, and are better than 304 in resistance to chloride pitting/crevice corrosion. No post-weld annealing is required (reducing costs and saving time). They are suitable for ASME medium-high temperature and pressure systems, and have obtained dual certifications of ASTM A240 and ASME SA240, making them the preferred choice for international engineering projects.

FAQ
Q: What thicknesses and sizes are available?
A: Common thicknesses range from 3mm to over 100mm, with standard sizes including 4ft x 8ft (1219mm x 2438mm) and 5ft x 10ft (1500mm x 3000mm). Custom sizes can be cut upon request.

Q: How does 316L perform compared to 304L?
A: 316L has better resistance to chlorides, acids, and pitting than 304L, making it ideal for harsh chemical or marine environments.

Q: Does 316L plate come with an MTC (Material Test Certificate)?
A: Yes, reputable GNEE stainless steel will provide an MTC to EN 10204 3.1 or 3.2, detailing the chemical composition, mechanical properties, and heat treatment status.
