SUS304 Stainless Steel Clad Sheet is a bimetallic plate made by combining stainless steel with base materials such as carbon steel, aluminum alloy, etc. through explosive composite, hot-rolled composite or cold-rolled composite technology.
Surface material: SUS304 stainless steel, thickness 0.5-3mm, provides acid resistance, salt spray resistance, and intergranular corrosion resistance, in line with JIS G4305 standard.
Base material: optional Q235B carbon steel, aluminum alloy or copper alloy, thickness 3-50mm, accounting for 80%-90% of the total thickness, greatly reducing material costs.
The surface SUS304 is equivalent to pure 304 in corrosion resistance, meeting the requirements of chemical lining; the salt spray test is over 1000 hours without red rust, the base layer has no penetration, the service life is 5 times longer than pure carbon steel, and the cost is 40%-60% lower than that of pure stainless steel plate.
The tensile strength of the carbon steel base composite plate is ≥450MPa, meeting the strength requirements of GB150 medium and low pressure vessels; the -20℃ low temperature impact absorption energy is ≥27J (Q235B base), and the resistance to low temperature embrittlement is better than pure stainless steel, suitable for severe cold projects in the north.
Petrochemical | Inner lining of crude oil storage tanks – replaces solid 304 with 50% cost savings |
Architectural | Commercial curtain walls – 40% lighter than solid stainless steel, reducing transport and installation costs |
Marine & Offshore | Yacht decks, port equipment – 304 surface resists chloride corrosion (rate: 0.03 mm/year); aluminum base reduces weight, improving fuel efficiency |
Food & Pharmaceutical | Equipment housings – replaces solid 304 with 30% cost reduction, meets hygiene standards |
Energy & Environmental | Solar collector plates (copper alloy base improves thermal conductivity by 2–3×); flue gas duct linings resist dew point corrosion while ensuring heat efficiency |
