Duplex Steel ‌2205 boiler tubes are composed of 22% chromium, 3% molybdenum and 4.5% nickel-nitrogen alloys, and their yield strength can reach 400-550MPa, which is twice that of ordinary austenitic stainless steel.
2205 Duplex Steel Superheater Tubes have excellent corrosion resistance, especially in environments containing chlorides and hydrogen sulfide. Its pitting resistance equivalent value (PREN) is 33-34, providing better pitting and crevice corrosion resistance than alloy 316L or 317L austenitic stainless steel in almost all corrosive media.
