ASTM A269 TP316 is a standard that specifies requirements for welded and seamless austenitic stainless steel tubing for general corrosion-resisting and low- or high-temperature service, with "TP316" designating the specific Type 316 stainless steel grade. This material contains molybdenum, which enhances its resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride-rich environments, making it suitable for applications in the chemical, marine, and hydraulic industries.

1.4521 stainless steel, also known as X2CrMoTi18-2 or AISI 444, is a ferritic, molybdenum-containing stainless steel characterized by its high resistance to chloride-induced stress-corrosion cracking and excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. And it comes in a variety of forms, including sheet, plate, coil, rod, tube and fittings.

Stainless steel 1.4401 is also known as grade 316 and is superior to 1.4301 (grade 304) due to its addition of molybdenum, which significantly enhances its corrosion resistance, particularly in harsh environments like those with seawater or chemicals.

ASTM A511/A511M is a standard specification from ASTM International that covers seamless stainless steel mechanical tubing. This specification applies to tubing used in mechanical applications where corrosion resistance or high-temperature strength is needed. It includes both cold-finished and hot-finished tubes, with sizes up to 12 3/4 inches (313.8 mm) in outside diameter and various wall thicknesses.
