What is the hardness of 904l stainless steel?

904L stainless steel is a super austenitic stainless steel known for its extremely high corrosion resistance and good mechanical properties. This alloy contains high chromium and nickel content, as well as important molybdenum additions, which provides excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, especially in sulfuric acid and chloride environments.

904L stainless steel

904L stainless steel characteristics:
Corrosion resistance: 904L has excellent corrosion resistance in various corrosive media, including sulfuric acid, acid chloride solution, seawater, etc. It can resist corrosion and cracking and is suitable for use in harsh corrosive environments.
High strength: 904L has high tensile strength and yield strength, and can withstand high stress and load.
Low carbon content: 904L has a very low carbon content, which can reduce the risk of intergranular corrosion and improve the corrosion resistance of the material.
Oxidation resistance: 904L has excellent oxidation resistance in high temperature environments and can effectively prevent the occurrence of oxidation and corrosion.
Good machinability: 904L has good machinability and can be processed by cold working, hot working and welding.

Application areas of 904L stainless steel:
Chemical industry: used to manufacture chemical reactors, distillation towers, pickling equipment and other equipment with high requirements for strong acids and strong alkalis.
Oil and gas industry: used to manufacture marine and oilfield equipment, such as offshore platforms, oil pipelines, steam generators, etc.
Marine engineering: Due to its excellent corrosion resistance to seawater and salt spray, 904L stainless steel is widely used in the manufacture of ships, offshore platforms, offshore equipment, etc.
Medical equipment: Due to its good corrosion resistance to body fluids and drugs, 904L stainless steel is used to manufacture medical devices and equipment, such as surgical instruments, implants, etc.
Food and pharmaceutical industries: Used to manufacture food processing equipment, storage tanks, pharmaceutical reactors, etc.
